Yoga for Every Body

Everyone can benefit from gentle yoga, regardless of their age, physical condition or level of fitness. Gentle movements and conscious breathing help to calm the mind and release muscular tension. When we feel deeply relaxed, the body’s natural healing processes can work more effectively.

Research shows that a regular practice of gentle yoga can be therapeutic for people with chronic pain conditions including fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic back pain and more. I have seen this happen with my students.

If you can breathe, you can do yoga.

My Approach

I help students explore ways to open up their body’s potential,

not force it into submission.

My training and teaching focus on three fundamental principles:

  • lengthening the spine

  • grounding the body

  • paying attention to the breath.

I’ll help you to uncover habitual movement and breathing patterns that are creating unnecessary tension and depleting your energy. I’ll clarify the primary benefit of each movement or pose so you can approach it intelligently. And I’ll suggest modifications to make your yoga practice safe, enjoyable and productive.

The approach is slow, simple, deeply exploratory and meditative, and above all, student-centred.
